Due to an alleged rape event in Lahore, Punjab College's registration was "cancelled

Amid demonstrations over the alleged rape of a female student, authorities have reportedly withdrawn the registration of Punjab College's Campus 10 in Lahore.

A female student at Campus 10 was allegedly raped by a security guard, which led to the protest. The matter is being investigated by the police.

In addition to citing intimidation from the administration, the protesting students demanded responsibility in other rape cases.

Outside the Punjab College branch, students from a number of other colleges also demonstrated. The administration is accused by protesters of putting the school's image ahead of student safety and openness, which has led to a great deal of community outrage. It is anticipated that supporters and students would come together to express their calls for accountability and justice in this grave issue.

For allegedly raping a student, the accused has been placed under custody. Following the emergence of unsubstantiated reports, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Faisal Karman revealed that a special team was established to look into the matter.
